Wholesale Apple fiber
Malus domestica
plant overview
Apple fiber refers to the pressed by-product, or the solid pomace, that results from the processing of apples. It is an excellent source of both soluble fiber (25%) and insoluble fiber (75%). In addition to dietary fiber, this substance also provides antioxidants, carbohydrates, vitamin C and minerals.
Dried and powdered apple fiber is taken as a dietary supplement, either as an additive to cooked foods or in capsule form. Malus domestica is also a thickening agent for sauces, soups and other foods and beverages, and can be used in baking.
